Business venues & work

Nothing is more frustrating than a frustrating day at work: the constant feeling of being behind and people doing their best to interrupt ones efforts to get ahead. It’s like those drivers on the way home who don’t seem to be in a rush to get home. Yet those are the same people who drive like maniacs to get to work…

But seriously, you’re trying to get something done and then some hard-of-hearing co-worked (Chris R) comes in just to chat. I mean come on. Some of us are here to work!

Tomorrow will be crunchtime!

On a different note, Orrin announced today his upcoming engagement in Monavie. That will be interesting. Especially since the evil (Am-(way)-pire) is still throwing millions out the door trying to get rid of us… *lol*

We shall see how it goes. It’s nice to see change again though. The feeling of being on the fence was starting to get uncomfortable…

Birthdays…

Saturday, February 16th, 2008

Hmmm… all day today my phone has been doing a fine job of reminding me it was Kay’s birthday. I haven’t heard from her in what.. 10 years? yup.. I think 97 is when I last got emails from her. Happy Birthday, Kay wherever you are…

Frustration

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

I feel like such a failure. Between my (now former) calling as EQ secretary, my not being able to keep up with finances, or paperwork, or most bills, or reading, or CDs, or anything else it seems including work and time with Ruth!

No idea what to do…

Hmmmm…

As Ruth put it so well: for the first time since this year started, it seems, all of us are healthy. Amazing :-)

So how did things go this week? Hmm, ok. Not more, not less.

Poor Ruth may say otherwise though, her week was T-O-U-G-H from a “how do I feel” perspective…

Work was ok. Too much to do, too little time, too many people wanting something. Though it is flattering that my boss thinks that without me it would all go to pieces. Yet I didn’t get near done what I hoped I would and it feels as if I am falling hopelessly behind when it comes to project development. And we won’t even go into project support!!

And I’ve been rather tired. I do not know if it’s the lack of exercise and decent nutrition, but chances are those two are a big part of it.

On the bright side, the children are doing magnificently: Cora is talking more and more and absolutely adores being read to! (Maisy is definitely her favorite!!). Liam ditched Monkey for good it seems and has completely mastered the potty! Gillian is loving to help and showing us every day what a wild imagination she has! :-)

In other words, yes, things feel a bit out of balance, but overall, it’s ok :-)
